NASA taraf\u0131ndan y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fclen yeni bir bilimsel \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma, K\u0131z\u0131l Gezegen\u2019in milyarlarca y\u0131l \u00f6nceki ya\u015fanabilirli\u011fini ve iklimsel evrimini tam olarak anlamak ad\u0131na son derece yenilik\u00e7i bir y\u00f6nteme ba\u015fvurdu. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, gezegen y\u00fczeyinde bulunan demir oksit minerali hematit i\u00e7erisindeki kristallerin \u015fekil ve mikroskobik yap\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 mineralojik bir belirte\u00e7 (indikat\u00f6r) olarak kulland\u0131. Elde edilen \u00e7arp\u0131c\u0131 bulgular, Mars\u2019taki s\u0131cak ve nemli \u00e7evre ko\u015fullar\u0131n\u0131n, bilim d\u00fcnyas\u0131nda daha \u00f6nce \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fclen ve tahmin edilen zaman dilimlerinden \u00e7ok daha uzun s\u00fcre boyunca varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 korumay\u0131 ba\u015fard\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 net bir \u015fekilde ortaya koydu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Gale Krateri\u2019nin Derin Katmanlar\u0131nda Sakl\u0131 Kozmik \u0130klim Ar\u015fivi<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Projenin ba\u015f\u0131ndaki isim olan NASA ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131s\u0131 Tanya Peretyazhko, K\u0131z\u0131l Gezegen\u2019in en ikonik b\u00f6lgelerinden biri olan Gale Krateri\u2019nin farkl\u0131 y\u00fckseklik seviyelerinden titizlikle toplanm\u0131\u015f tam 20 benzersiz kaya\u00e7 \u00f6rne\u011fini laboratuvar ortam\u0131nda derinlemesine inceledi. S\u00f6z konusu kraterin katmanl\u0131 duvarlar\u0131, Mars\u2019\u0131n milyarlarca y\u0131ll\u0131k iklim ge\u00e7mi\u015fini adeta bir jeolojik ar\u015fiv gibi g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze kadar kusursuzca saklamay\u0131 ba\u015farm\u0131\u015f durumda bulunuyor. Bu katmanl\u0131 yap\u0131n\u0131n en derin noktalar\u0131, gezegenin olu\u015fum a\u015famas\u0131ndaki en erken d\u00f6nem \u00e7evre ko\u015fullar\u0131n\u0131 do\u011frudan yans\u0131t\u0131rken, \u00fcst katmanlar ise zamanla de\u011fi\u015fen daha yak\u0131n d\u00f6nem iklim \u015fartlar\u0131na ayna tutuyor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tanya Peretyazhko ve ekibinin y\u00fcr\u00fctt\u00fc\u011f\u00fc incelemeler, gezegenin ge\u00e7mi\u015fine dair son derece ilgin\u00e7 bir mineralojik tabloyu g\u00f6zler \u00f6n\u00fcne serdi. Kraterin \u00fcst katmanlar\u0131ndan al\u0131nan numunelerdeki hematit kristallerinin olduk\u00e7a k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck ve tam olarak geli\u015fmemi\u015f oldu\u011fu tespit edildi; bu yap\u0131sal durum, o d\u00f6nemde Mars semalar\u0131nda hakim olmaya ba\u015flayan so\u011fuk ve su bak\u0131m\u0131ndan son derece yetersiz, kurak ko\u015fullar\u0131 sembolize ediyor. Oysa kraterin \u00e7ok daha derin katmanlar\u0131ndan \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lan kayalardaki kristallerin yap\u0131sal olarak \u00e7ok daha b\u00fcy\u00fck boyutlara ula\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6zlemlendi. Bilimsel olarak hematit kristallerinin bu denli b\u00fcy\u00fck bir boyuta ula\u015fabilmesi i\u00e7in, kesintisiz bir bi\u00e7imde \u00e7ok uzun s\u00fcreli, s\u0131cak ve bol sulu s\u0131v\u0131 ko\u015fullar\u0131n\u0131n varl\u0131\u011f\u0131 hayati bir zorunluluk ta\u015f\u0131yor.
